Nordic Material Supply A/S provides laser cutting of materials in modern production sites. Processing of metal sheets, pipes and profiles and transforming the parts into semi-manufactured or finished products. The prefabrication is based on sheets of Steel, Stainless steel and Aluminium. Thin sheet products are being prefabricated by both Turret Punching, Laser cutting, CNC processing and Edge cutting. Different Surface Plating Technologies and sub-assembly of the components, before shipping final parts to industrial customers in Denmark.
The deliveries are based on B2B manufacturing of customer designed parts and constructions. Depending on product complexity and size, solutions are from a few hundred pieces and up to several thousand pieces per delivery. Our services include processing and assembly of manufactured parts in line with customer requirements. Final packaging and direct shipment are part of our solution. The choice between Turret punching and Laser cutting is based on product design and surface plating requirements. Dependent on product and design, laser cutting can be best technology for the prefabrication.
The benefits by laser cutting are high flexibility without special requirements for tooling and with the possibility of cutting thicker materials at a high tolerance level. In regards to turret punching, this is preferred when sheet thickness is 1-2mm in steel or aluminium and when large quantity of holes to be processed. Turret punching is also preferred, when thin sheet prefabrication is based on pre-plated steel sheets, where turret punching is superior in regards to protection of the cutting lines against oxidation. Compared to gas- and plasma cutting, the cutting tolerances are better by laser cutting and the cutting lines are thinner, which result in less material usage in general and better tolerances on the finished products.

Laser cutting of carbon steel components Laser cutting is a very flexible cutting technology, where smaller quantities or cutting of special designs can be done without tooling cost. Higher volume production is made more efficient by adding automated feeders to the production setup.
